Ridgewood Moving Services is proud to support the Center for Hope and Safety. For those that don’t know, the Center for Hope and Safety is a nonprofit organization that protects victims of domestic violence.

In order to raise money to keep the organization running, it holds a plethora of exciting events that’s open for everyone to join. As one of the organization’s earliest supporters, we’re always promoting their events here on our blog, so keep an eye out for the Center for Hope and Safety’s events on our website!

One of the events that the Center for Hope and Safety holds every year is the Annual Gift Wrapping Fun-raiser! This is a great community initiative held throughout the month of December where anyone can get their gifts wrapped for the holdays. All proceeds go to the Center of Hope and Safety, which will help the agency continue to fight for what they believe in.

There are three locations where you can get your gift wrapped this month:

• Paramus Park Mall
• Barnes and Noble Rt. 17 S. Paramus
• Barnes & Noble Hackensack, Route 4

If you don’t need any of your gifts wrapped, you can always participate in the event as a volunteer! All you need to do is sign up for one of the locations by clicking here and dress in black in black to participate.

We invite you, your company, your family, or organization to help us raise funds and awareness about our agency by gift wrapping for us at various retail locations.

 

How it works… Shoppers at various retail locations bring holiday gifts to our gift-wrapping table. You as our “elves”, wrap the gifts and in return, shoppers make a donation to the agency.   The shifts are a minimum of 2 hours and we try to have at least 2 elves per shift. Teenagers are welcome to participate, only if an adult is present.

 

 

The time slots at the various retail locations can be seen on our program, VolunteerSpot.  After you decide where and when you want to gift wrap, you will have to sign-up on VolunteerSpot to reserve that time and location.  This program DOES NOT share your email address with anyone.
