Welcome to another monthly installment of Ridgewood Moving Services (Ridgewood Movers) testimonials! As you may know, actual moving jobs are not as common in the winter as they are in the summer, especially during the holiday season. Because of this, it’s hard to pick new testimonials to share with everyone here on the blog.
However, that doesn’t mean that I don’t have anything to share on the blog this month! I’ve compiled a group of some of my favorite testimonials that I’ve come across since I first started working here as an intern over the summer. I love all of our testimonials, but these truly impressed me for the amount of sheer praise found within them.

Beverly Jean Constantin – From June
I must take this opportunity to totally RAVE about the wonderful experience I had with Ridgewood Moving Services. It has been a long while since my move from Jersey to Florida last year and I admit some of my boxes are still here in a storage facility because the move was so drastic to a small condo. Ridgewood movers put me completely at ease from day ONE !!!
The estimator was wonderful with Her inventory of my old family pieces and paintings that had such sentimental value. The timing and scheduling were perfect for us to move from the home so that we were able to put the Jersey place on the market and we met the truck in Florida at the agreed upon day !!! I could not believe that FOUR Men packed up my entire home in 6 hours the first day !!! Unfortunately they had to do a lot more work than anticipated because my mom in law was moved to a nursing home suddenly 3 days before our move and we had many of her items to move also and I did not have the time to ‘stage’ my possessions because of the situation. The packers were the most friendly and helpful and encouraging crew ever !!!
The movers had 2 stops (the storage unit then the condo) and did a marvelous job separating out what needed to be where … with my ‘inventory’ cataloged numerically for them !!! And labeled ‘storage’ or not !!! They were sooooo careful with each and every piece. Nothing was broken or lost even with 2 other families sharing the truck … all color coded I noticed … AND I had almost 250 boxes myself !!! The movers were pleasant and friendly even with all the work in the warm weather here in Florida … adjusting to the small elevator used to get to the 5th floor !!! We shared family stories and really got to know each other in the few hours working together. Thank YOU Ridgewood Movers for the most wonderful moving experience !!! Opening my boxes that were meticulously ‘wrapped’ is like Christmas every day !!!
Dorothy and Ray – From July
BIG thanks to a wonderful team of guys, Rodney, Ryan and Geraldo who did a fabulous job moving my art studio into my new home. They were positive, patient and willing to go the extra mile to get things just right. It was a daunting job with big equipment and all they did was smile! We actually enjoyed the day. Thank you so much for your generous spirits. I hope to see you at the end of February when you move my household!
Jean K. – From August
After being selected, Ridgewood Moving met with us to go over the schedule for the day of our moves (they moved two of our locations) and what we should expect. They then walked around each of our offices and made suggestions of how we should pack things. They provided us with a labeling system for our boxes so the movers would know exactly what rooms we wanted our boxes placed in. Our offices were small and we couldn’t pack any more boxes because we had no place to put them and still continue to function, so they came and moved what we did have packed, freeing up the space to finish our packing. We didn’t have to worry about packing our PCs. They did that for us! They also took apart our desks and cabinets in our kitchenette area, which was a major help for us.
The two moves went extremely well. They showed up on time both days of our move. The first thing they did was walk around our offices to determine everything that was to be moved. The movers’ “coordinator” then told us the order in which the rooms would be moved. At both locations we still had some last minute packing, but they told us not to worry and that we didn’t have to rush even if it was in the first room they were moving – that they would come back to each room at the end and pick up whatever we still had in there. Each and every mover was extremely nice, friendly, and conscientious and no matter who you asked to do something, they all said “No problem.” We were amazed at how efficient they were and how quick the moves were. We expected the move for each office to take the entire day and both moves were done early in the afternoon, so we were able to unpack and start working the next day. I can’t say enough great things about Ridgewood Moving.

JoAnn – From October
Truly look no further for the best moving company I’ve ever dealt with. This is from someone who has moved four (4) times, and not until my 4th time can I truly say it went perfectly. Except for the weather which Ridgewood Movers had no control over, but made all necessary adjustments and handled like true professionals.
Our home sold and buyers wanted it as soon as possible. With all the craziness of downsizing, I might have forgotten one very important component: a moving company. Please be aware this is only two (2) weeks before. When I called the office and explained my situation the staff was soon helpful, called me back with an appointment for the next day. Cindy came heard my many problems besides this crazy move. From the moment she walked through my front door I somehow knew I was in good hands.
The very next day I had my estimate and the game plan for the entire move, which at this point was exactly one (1) week away. I booked them immediately and have no regrets at all. Chris and Jimey were in my driveway on time, the first of two (2) trucks. FYI these guys were so professional and just GREAT to work with, they handled everything and supervised the other truck and workers. When they first got there I was a little nervous, one of them said to me, “not to worry they’ve got it,” and you knew they had it! For once everything went perfectly.
The crew went out of their way to make sure everything was covered with the bad weather we had that day. Neat, clean and extremely courteous, on one of your most stressful days they had your back. The estimate was right in range, no surprises, as I had in past moves. Trust me, look no further, you’ve found the right moving company, you can now relax.

I wish I could have sent you this message last week but I was still unpacking and trying to get settled. Now that I feel like a “person” again, I just couldn’t wait to send you this message. Thank you isn’t enough for all of the coordinating and preparing you and Steve did for our 3 part move. From the time we met, I knew that you and Ridgewood Moving would be the mover of choice for us. Your professionalism and ability to process the many facets of this move was impressive. Unlike the average moving from point A to point B jobs, this move was particularly challenging due to our circumstances with the sale of our home, addition of an temporary apartment to add to the mix and an ever changing closing date.
Having access to Steve during the many twists and turns of this move made the process tolerable for me. When I presented him with a problem, he was able to grab a hold and run with it, returning with a solution, which gave me peace of mind.
Your packers were wonderful. They not only work efficiently, their finished product is like artwork. All of my finest and most treasured pieces arrived beautifully packed and safely to their new home.
The movers are unbelievable. I gave them a nickname of the “Olympic Move Team”. Not only are they organized and work like a finely tuned instrument, they were pleasant (most of the time smiles) even as they were carrying heavy pieces of furniture from room to room. They would ask important questions and not simply assume that I wanted something somewhere.
As you know, this was a huge move and they were relentless (not stopping for break or lunch) in order to get the job completed on Day 2 instead of dragging it out into Day 3. This was so greatly appreciated as I could use this extra day to begin organizing my new home.
Geraldo – is such a pleasant man, always keeping me informed and making sure I was ok with how and where items were placed. Big smiles!
Dullah – Hard worker and if you hadn’t heard, helped my elderly neighbor as she was injured by a horse on her farm next door.
Russell – Sweetheart and most adorable. Very responsive when I made an inquiry.
Duncan – Equally as sweet. Works very well with Russell. Good team.
Ryan – Like his smiles, even as he was carrying one of my many wardrobe boxes up a million steps on an empty stomach. Great personality!
Chris – ‘The Brawn’ – If he wasn’t present, my favorite bedroom furniture probably would not have made it to my room. He is truly unbelievable in his capacity to manage the heaviest of pieces. As you know, I had several pieces which would test his ability and he managed without breaking a sweat.If you would ask me if I could imagine my move being successful without the above individuals and Ridgewood Moving, I’d say NO WAY!
