Move For Hunger is a nonprofit organization that accepts food donations that go to local food banks, which helps feed starving families all across the country. We do our part in helping Move For Hunger by collecting nonperishable food items from our clients and using our own trucks to deliver the food to these food banks. If you chose to move with us and have food you no longer need anymore, please consider making a donation to Move For Hunger!

We’re not the only people who want to help make a difference in New Jersey though! For instance, a small personal training group called Get in Shape for Women decided to hold a food drive in December and were very successful. We discovered this news on Move For Hunger’s blog, which was originally written by Angelica Fromer. Here’s an excerpt from the post:

Get in Shape For Women of Scotch Plains, NJ felt motivated to do more than just work out!

With the help of Move For Hunger, the gym hosted a food drive from December 13th to December 23rd. The team at Get In Shape For Women collected 90 pounds of food-that is 75 meals for those facing food insecurity.

Move For Hunger extends a huge congratulations to everyone who was involved in this event. About 12% of the population of Union County is unsure of where their next meal is coming from. On behalf of Move For Hunger, we would like to thank Get in Shape For Women, University Van Lines, and everyone who donated for advocating the fight against this staggering statistic.
