Move For Hunger is one of the many nonprofit organizations we at Ridgewood Moving Services (Ridgewood Moving) work with in order to make a difference in the world. Their mission is to fight against world hunger by filling food banks with non perishable food items for the families that need it.

We’ve worked with this organization for years and have always stood by this mission. That’s why we’ve decided to become a Certified Moving Agent once again in 2017. This gives us the ability to actively participate in collecting food donations for Move For Hunger.

Whenever a client is moving to a new home, we ask them if they have any nonperishable food items that they no longer need. If they do, we collect them in big boxes and then put a Move For Hunger sticker on them to signify that the contents are being donated to a good cause. Once we’re ready, we collect all of the Move For Hunger boxes and use one of our food trucks to transport everything to our local food bank. This is how we’re able to do our part as a moving company!
