Ridgewood Moving Services (Ridgewood Moving) is always trying to find ways to support others, which is why we’ve assisted nonprofit organizations like Move For Hunger to help make a difference in the world. When clients have nonperishable food items that they no longer need, they can choose to donate them to Move For Hunger so it can go to someone that needs it. Move For Hunger also follows its mission by throwing events to collect donations and spread awareness about the organization. For example, they are partnering with students at Monmouth University in New Jersey to collect food donations!

Non-perishable food items were collected from from June 30-July 25 and were delivered to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties by Lowy’s Moving Service, a Wheaton agent. In total, Monmouth University’s new student orientation collected 275 pounds of food, which equates to approximately 229 meals for families in their community!
Monmouth University has been a frequent supporter of Move For Hunger over the years, and has now collected over 5,000 lbs of food – that’s over 4,150 meals – all time. With nearly 126,000 individuals struggling to find their next meal in the area, Monmouth University is certainly making a difference by fighting hunger today and educating the next generation on the importance of the cause.
