Move for Hunger, a nonprofit organization that Ridgewood Moving Services (Ridgewood Moving) supports, accepts food donations from people that are fighting to end world hunger. The organization depends on these donations to keep starving families fed! As a result, it will often throw events to spread awareness about its campaign.

To show the impact that one person’s efforts can have, a woman in Nebraska collected hygiene products. She did this at her town’s local post office from September 23-October 3 to support everyone in her community. In a little over a week, she made amazing progress!

You can read all about it below. The story was covered by Jyoti Parmar on Move For Hunger’s blog, which you can read in its entirety by clicking here. If you’re feeling inspired, please consider making a non-perishable food donation to the agency when you move with us!

Through tremendous hard work she was able to collect nearly 20 pounds of personal hygiene items, including toiletries and shampoo, which are always welcome donations at food banks. She even personally delivered all of the items to the Food Bank of Lincoln. There are nearly 250,000 people in Nebraska that are in need of tools to live more comfortably this holiday season. Thank you for your tireless efforts towards making a difference in your community!
