The Center for Hope and Safety is a fantastic nonprofit organization that fights against domestic abuse and provides support to victims in need. During the holidays, the Center for Hope and Safety held a couple of different events over the holidays to help raise money that would go towards improving the services it provides. For instance, a gift wrapping event was held in locations like Barnes and Noble across New Jersey, which we covered here on our website. Volunteers from the Center for Hope and Safety acted as elves that wrapped presents for anyone that needed help while also collecting donations for the agency. Because of the volunteers’ efforts, the Center for Hope and Safety was able to raise a total of $15,600 in donations! Thank you to everyone that helped make this possible.
Another event that the agency held revolved around making gift donations to victims of domestic violence. The idea was to give women and children that were living at the shelter a present to brighten their day around the holidays. In the end, 231 women and 475 children received gifts for the holidays thanks to the generous donations from individuals, organizations, schools, churches, and businesses. Wow! Once again, thank you to everyone that helped make a difference! With the continued support of our community, we can continue to help make the world a better place for everyone.
